CRACKS AND REPAIRS
There are many reasons why concrete might develop cracks. It might have been poured during extreme hot or cold weather and did not cure, or dry, correctly. Other reasons include; the soil below grade has shifted, the slab was damaged by heavy equipment, not enough expansion joints were installed, invasive tree roots and repetitive freeze thaw cycles. No matter the reason, the openings must be repaired or else the damaged surface will get increasing worse over time. Our motto is, “Just say NO to crack.” We use various repair techniques depending on the circumstances of the damaged slab, sidewalk or driveway. These include; insuring the area is properly drained, redirecting downspouts, filling the void under the slab, lifting the slap to its correct alignment, installing expansion joints or tree root barriers, sealing the entire surface, filling in the crack with patching compound or, if small enough, using specialized caulk or liquid filler.
RETAINING WALL CONTRACTOR
Retaining structures are usually built with interlocking blocks that are available in many sizes, styles and colors. With their ability to support tremendous weight, they are used to prevent erosion and to expand outdoor usable space. They can convert a heavily sloped backyard into a new play area, patio or garden for your home. When terraced, these walls provide a visually stunning backdrop for outdoor grills, pools, patios and decks. Some items to consider before construction include;
- Soil type. Is it a well drained or does it normally retain water for days?
- Intended Stress Load. Will the wall be used for a parking area, driveway, shed, garden or fence? How much stress will be generated?
- Height. What is the minimum or maximum height required?
- Access. Do you want to have steps built in so you can access the terraced levels of the wall?

STAMPED CONCRETE WALKWAYS AND DRIVEWAYS
What’s not to like with a path, walkway, patio, pool decking or driveway made from concrete but formed to look like pavers, brick, tile or field stone? We use high quality dyes and stains to mimic the color of the final desired look. We can create solid structures that are incredibly strong but look like Brick, Stone, Slate, Wood and Texture. The process starts like all pours; the subsurface is prepared and compacted, side forms are installed to define the area, reinforcement wire mesh is set within the forms, mix is poured, leveled, or screed, color is added to match desired product, pattern is stamped into surface, slab is cured, expansion joints may be installed, and finally…. entire surface is sealed.
SLABS
There are lots of uses for a concrete space at your home or workplace. When installed properly they provide an even, maintenance free area for lots of uses. Some of the most popular uses are; hot tub pads, patios, basketball courts, air conditioner condenser pads, trash container pads, shed or gazebo foundations, RV and boat storage. If your tired of trying to grow grass in a heavily shaded area perhaps you can use that area for a permanent picnic table or grilling area. The versatility and uses are virtually unlimited. We make sure to grade the pour to encourage rain to naturally drain from the surface.
FOUNDATION CONTRACTOR
The success of any made man structure starts with a well constructed foundation. After securing the necessary permits, we carefully review the blueprints to ensure a fantastic project! Our excavator prepares the site for the footings and rebar that go in first; then the foundation forms are added. The 2nd pour ties the vertical footing rebar to the walls. The walls are reinforced with horizontal rebar for maximum strength. We monitor the weather conditions so that the concrete sets and cures properly. When ready, the exterior walls are coated with a waterproof coating and insulated. A footing drain, or french drain, is installed next to the footings, along with gravel, to direct rainwater away from the house. Finally, the foundation is backfilled with soil. The foundation is now ready for the first level of construction.
